The free version of Type, a great font design program.

Type Light is the free and fully functional version of Type, an excellent program for designing fonts. In addition to designing, you can perform conversion operations, editing or retouching OpenType, TrueType and PostScript fonts.

Type Light stands out for its simplicity in handling, something that perfectly complements its power and functionality, something not found in other font editing programs. And best of all, Type Light isn't limited to the essential functions with respect to Type. The program's creators simply limit the use of Type Light to private matter, requesting payment of a licence from those who engage in commercial use of the editor.

Of course, Type Light is ready to design fonts in the western alphabet, in hieroglyphs, etc. The program has the ability to import vectored files, and apply effects such as "bold", "italic", etc. Type Light is lighter than the Type program, although both are shown to have very low resource consumption.
